The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing completed, in January 2026, an investigation at the operator Tensa Art Design S.A. and found a violation of the provisions of art. 83 para. (5) let. e) in relation to art. 58 para. (1) let. a) and let. e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

As such, the operator was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 101,794 lei (equivalent to 20,000 euros).

The investigation was initiated following a complaint from a natural person (user) who complained that on the website https://lensa.ro, owned by the operator S.C. Tensa Art Design S.A., tracking cookies and behavioral advertising modules are placed.

During the investigation, it was found that the operator S.C. Tensa Art Design S.A did not respond to the request addressed by the National Authority for the Supervision of Personal Data Processing in the exercise of its investigative powers.

As such, the operator was sanctioned with a misdemeanor fine for violating the provisions of art. 83 paragraph (5) letter e) of Regulation (EU) 679/2016 in relation to art. 58 paragraph (1) letter a) and letter e) of Regulation (EU) 679/2016.

At the same time, the operator was ordered to take the corrective measure of communicating the requested response to ANSPDCP.
